- Made from high-tech polyurethane plastic molded around a durable stainless steel core. It is warmer and softer than traditional steel, making it ideal for young, sensitive, or recently backed horses.
- Features a single joint that creates a nutcracker effect, applying pressure to the lips, bars, and the sides of the tongue.
- Also known as a Dutch Gag, this style features multiple rings to vary the level of leverage and poll pressure depending on where the reins are attached.
- Ideally used with two reins. The primary rein attaches to the large main snaffle ring to maintain normal contact, while the secondary rein attaches to the lower, smaller ring to apply leverage when needed
