- Cholecalciferol is effective against anticoagulant-resistant Norway rats, house mice and now field mice.
- It is not bioaccumulative or persistent and therefore presents relatively lower secondary poisoning risks to non-target species, such as birds of prey, compared to second generation anticoagulants.
