Description
Lorina French Link Pelham
- The Lorina French Link Pelham is a popular stainless steel horse bit designed to combine the leverage action of a curb bit with the mildness of a flat-link mouthpiece.
- It is highly favored for stronger horses that need extra control without the harsh roof-of-the-mouth pressure caused by standard jointed bits.
- Features a flat, shaped plate that lies flat across the horse’s tongue. This design completely eliminates the “nutcracker” action and roof-of-the-mouth (palate) pressure typical of single-jointed bits.
- The long sides (shanks) and curb chain exert pressure on the bars of the mouth, chin groove, and poll. This provides additional brakes and lowering action for horses that tend to pull or lean.
- Ideally designed to be used with two sets of reins (a snaffle rein and a curb rein) for precise control. However, it can be used with a single rein if you attach split-rein pelham roundings.
