- The Lorina Cambridge Kimblewick is a specialized horse bit designed to provide extra control with milder leverage than a traditional curb or Pelham bit.
- It features a solid “Cambridge” mouth (low port) and non-slotted D-shaped rings, offering an effective solution for horses or ponies that require more stopping power than a standard snaffle.
- The incorporated low port (or gate mouth) configuration gives extra space for the horse’s tongue. It avoids severe palate pressure and ensures the bit does not collapse onto the bars of the mouth.
- It utilizes non-slotted D-rings rather than a long shank. The lack of traditional shanks results in significantly lower leverage compared to other curb bits. It operates similarly to a hanging cheek bit but with added curb action.
